Wayehutta OHV in Cullowhee now allows hiking and mountain biking along with the previously known ATV/UTV/Dirt Bike crowd. I plan on going to check it out sometime. When I used to ride ATV's there, it was flat out awesome, but they have since widened some trails and I haven't been there in 7+ years. Imagine that... and it's in my own backyard. It will definitely be okay to take the r/c's there. It's a $5/day. |

I am also in extreme western NC. There are lots of places to drive, but not many people to drive with. Wish the hobby would catch on a little bit more here. Everyone thinks they are cool until they hear the price.

We are definitely few and far between. Smokediver in Hayesville. Rockpayne in Brasstown. Me in Bryson City. SStone in Sylva. You're looking at roughly 1.5 - 2 hours worth of drive time between us and that's not taking into account going to the spots to crawl at. Then you factor in work schedules, custody schedules and life in general and it's hard to find a time convenient to everyone. Speaking for myself, I usually have to try to schedule weekend time off at least a month in advance to have any hope of getting it...

I plan on trying to get some thing in the works at the end of this month or beginning of next. We had a real good turnout last time. Hope everyone had a good time and will return for the next outing, along with some new faces. Once we get a spot pinned down. I'll try to give every one at least 3 weeks to plan. What sucks the most for me is that I want to get out there and meet up with you Westerners, but the drive is like 4 or 5 hours. And just to spend a couple of hours trailing, and another 4 to 5 hours back sucks most hagously. Maybe one day.

I along with a few other scalers will be arriving in Asheville some time next Tuesday. We are planning a trip up the parkway on Wednesday to do some trail running at craggy dome. I am thinking somewhat early in the day so that we miss most of the people. Thursday thru Sunday we will be headed to Helen ga for an incredible vw show, and some crawling on the chatahoochie river. Should be a fun trip. Maybe we will run into a few of you |

Craggy dome trail was pretty awesome today. There will be way too many people there soon to play with trucks |

There are a few of us that have been getting together for trail riding in Raleigh and it's been pretty good. I'm finishing up a truck for my wife too because she wants to go |

Thanks for the invite, but can't do anything today. In the next week or so I should be free.
