| NC, our section is dead...
We need to breathe some new life into our section here. Maybe a chit chat and projects/what are you workin' on type thread or something. 6 days with zero posts is sad. I'm just returning from a 2.5 year hiatus from this hobby and don't want to get out of it again for the same reason as last time (no people to crawl with, no events, etc.). I would like for us to be able to coordinate some G6 style events, even if it's bragging-rights only. No rules, run what ya brung and just have fun type of thing. I've been crawling with the guys down in SC. The NC section is really dead. I've been down to Marcus' (hatefullboy) place quite a few times and it's a blast. I've got one last round of mods to complete on the Wraith, before I button it up as "complete".... for now. Adding some more power, rock lights and waterproofing. I'm in Charlotte, and I'd like to have some people to get together with locally. Love going to Marcus' place, but want to see what else is around me. I've cased a few spots that I'm gonna poach here soon. Anyone in or near south Charlotte, feel free to hit me up. Cheers, Burleson |

I actually have family in Fort Mill. Not sure when I'm going to be back down that way. Any good spots in Charlotte? I know there may be some cool spots at the Catawba Riverwalk that's in between Fort Mill and Rock Hill. Also Anne Close Greenway in Fort Mill seemed to have some BAD ASS terrain and trails when I MTB'd there a few years ago. |

Well I've offered a spot but seems to fall on deaf ears. I would travel to NC if anybody gets something going. It'll be about 2weeks before I can play again.

All are crazy for not going down to Marcus' place. It's soooo much fun with lots of different terrain. Marcus' is also one hell of a nice guy. Todd, Jason and the other guys are also great. Just a blast to run with. |

I think drive time might be what's keeping some from going. For me, it's working on the weekends. If I do anything on weekends I have to schedule it with work anywhere from 1 to 3 months ahead of time depending on what time of year it is...

I checked out the pictures from hatefulboy's place and it looks freaking awesome but is a bit of a drive. Maybe Vader, Rockpayne and I can make it down there in the future. Asheville is not too far to drive for a decent days worth of scaling/bashing, IMO. Last edited by SStone; 02-15-2013 at 05:22 AM. |

Well I have tried before also and some will drive and others just have a little time and need things closer to them, that being said I have a good spot here at the shop and working on more. All are welcome and I crawl everything, comp, scale, mini, 1.9, 2.2, and Super. I am also working on a deal to make parts and sell crawler parts from specific Manufacturers, so kind of a one stop crawler shop, but as of right now it is still in the workings. I am located in the western end of the state between Hayesville and Murphy, I know it is a drive for most but I have started a 3/4 mile scale loop around the shop and it will grow and get more challenging as time goes on, I also have around 20 ton of rock on my crawler course and when I can I add to that too. I hope we can work out a bi-monthly GTG here and at other places too, there are enough people if we can all get it worked out were we can all get to the same place at the same time and have some fun......

That being said, **** TROUT UNLIMITED!!!! They had a lot to do with the trail closures. Also those idiots developing on the mountains above the trails were causing the sediment "problem". Last edited by SStone; 02-15-2013 at 06:48 AM.

I am looking at 18 acres in the Monroe area and plans are to put a very large rock garden in once we move. Im not talking little rocks either. We will have to set up some get togethers there once its complete. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2 |

Monroe isn't too far from my family in Fort Mill. It's a definite possibility for my daughter and I to come to a get together once you get set up. She's new to r/c... she loves my Venom buggy and is a pretty darn good driver after about two hours of Transmitter-time. *****I would also like to toss the idea out there to have swap meets at the get togethers. Any takers on that? Last edited by SStone; 02-15-2013 at 08:16 AM.
