I am in Huntersville and looking for some good places to go. I have been to RL Smith, but need to watch out for disc golfers. Does RCCC have a FB page or anything? How is Liberty park?

Went to liberty park in mooresville for first time...is it just that waterfall area? Anyone try going on the mountain bike trails? There is a good site tarheeltrailblazers.com Haven't tried them. Having a hard time finding convenient places to go. Frustrating. |

There is a public walking trail here in Lincolnton that has a section of rocky area that works for crawling. Last weekend their was 13 of us who went. It is on South Fork River, just behind The Laboratory Mill, accessed by the South Fork River Rail Trail. If it has rained any time soon before going, don't waste your time!! It will be under water!

Looks like this thread has gone stale, anybody still active in the Charlotte area? I'm center city but spend a lot of time around Lake Norman, Huntersville/Cornelius areas.

I live in Huntersville. Pretty new to RC and Crawling. Been into it for just over a year now. I have 4 and 6 year old boys that I am trying to get into the hobby as well. We are running Axial Bombers. I haven't really found any great places yet. I tried Robert L. Smith park, but it's tricky because the terrain is on a disc golf course. There are also several mountain bike (multi-use) trails which can be found that have decent terrain, but is also tricky since you gotta watch for the bikers.
