We are ok (gLub glub) still above (glub glub) water. Seriously though things are uncertain at best. NWS just raised the crest to 41ft. In '97 wich just about everyone should remember we crested in Fargo at 39ft.

The city is about 95% protected up to 42ft. But of course if 1 section of the dike fails or doesn't get done then we are all in trouble.

This morning they were using air boats to rescue some 20 people or so along with pets from houses the were flooding. There was also a heli rescue at lunch time of 5 adults and an infant whose house was going under.

The last 3 nights after work for me have been filling and placing sand bags. I have been real busy at work also. I'm not sure if I am actually awake as I type this but still have a possitive outlook on things.

Hey, the flood was a trip. My wife had a baby 3 days after the crest. Meritcare was on lockdown, so you had to be "escorted" to the room by security. We have a new boy, ready to learn the tricks of the trade from daddy....Waddaya suppose rc will be like for him???? Mind control maybe? Nice to see some concern from a fellow northerner, especially when this is all headed your way. Nice job on my chassis, by the way, I purchased a scaler from Tony built by you....

You must have got the black and green FJ. I shamelessly copied it from pics of TCS's X-Trail chassis before it was released. Worked well enough that once they were on the market I bought one and built a Bronco with it.

We had all but one of the bridges into Minn. closed. That got within about 1 foot of getting shut down too. We'll have to see how this current prediction of another flood crest in the middle of the month goes.

We are expecting another crest next week. Could be as high as the first one of 40.82 feet. It's a good thing they never tore any of the dikes down prematurely or we would have been in "FIGHT" mode all over again. So far they are just doing some maintenance on the dikes and I guess Moorhead is building a few more secondary dikes. All we can do now is wait...

By the way, Dudley50, is my brother. Hopefully he can make it to some events with us this summer.
