Default Oakes????

Just got off the phone w/ Dave Kingston. There was a misunderstanding along the way about the pottential schedule change.

We will NOT be at Oakes Quarry on 4-25-09
We WILL be meeting at Emerald Parkway on this date, as described in the first post of this thread.

Oakes will still be on 6-27-09

Your killing me Bob. lol. ok. I'll call the guys at High Tech Rednecks and let them know of the change. From the feedback I received from big john, sounds like we'll have some guests.

No one checked with Dave. He said he wasn't doing anything at oakes that weekend due to the series and the KY boys would be out the following weekend.

Ah. I was not aware of this. At this point I'm feeling like an ass. I think to save more confusion we may leave the schedule as it is. You fellas are more than welcome to join any of the events. I will run it by everyone tuesday just in case but I hate to keep switching things on folks.

Being spring it may work out better at the Emerald Parkway so we have a sheltered area as an option if we get the spring showers.

I'm sure it'll be fine with everyone, as now they don't have to drive for an hour.

Nope, no reason to change it and add confusion..If Dave or Josh can not make it and it doesn't conflict with the TSC schedule, I'll be more than happy to come up to Oakes that day and compete and unlock the gate

We need to figure out a date when we can get everyone up at oakes at the same time.

CKYC, Colombus, Wpac, NOSTR, TSC, might even get a few guys from Michigan to come down.

........I don't really give a duece who unlocks the gate.......LOL

I agree. Alot of our guys dont get on the forums much. So, w/ a bit of notice we could let the tuesday night crowd know . Our series meets there on June 27 and you all are welcome then, so long as your cool w/ a $5 fee going to the series fund.

Well Mr. Rizzo, I'm not too sure about the whole 5$ fee for the Oakes event. I have no problem getting there early and setting up courses.
Since the event will attract attention and attendance from more than just the Colombus group I don't thinks it right for us all to pay you, or TSC, or Wpac, or whoever has their hand out wanting the $.

Just my thoughts....... whats yours?

Sorry for the confusion. When Josh mentioned to me about having the KY boys come up on the 25th, I didn't think it would be cool to try to have an event at Oakes when there was already an event scheduled in Columbus for that day. I had no clue that he had already mentioned changing dates to the Columbus crew. Lack of communication, I will take the blame.

This was an attempt to not step on any toes on my part.

As a random event I would never ask for funds. If however it was a scheduled event it the point series I would expect anyone that wanted to run in that comp to pay the fees for that comp weather or not you intended on competing in the rest of the series regardless where you are from. I would expect that I would have to pay in anyone elses comp if it was a predetermined part of the event.
If its just a get together thats totaly different.

I think what I meant came out wrong. Let me try again.

For the event you have scheduled for the Colombus series, yes 5 bucks a head.

For the event on the 3rd... no charge.
