| Columbus/Central OH, Spring-Summer Points Series Info, Updates, & Pics This Post Will Be Updated as Needed - Please Check Back In Regularly. This is intended for info and updates only. For discussions please post here: http://rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=161350 This is a 7 stop 2.2 RC rock crawling competition tour of the central OH area. Each of the 7 comps will consist of three courses. The point total of your best 5 event scores will be used for your final series score. All of the entry fees will go towards prizes for the top drivers. The top 3 drivers will be rewarded, maybe the top five{depending on turn out} If we get the kind of showing we see at our weekly and monthly comps at Cowboy's, the prizes should be pretty nice. If you can't make all of the comps its OK. As stated above you get two "throw aways". Beyond that any single comp will be worth the money. If you are new to the hobby, this is a perfect environment to get your feet wet. There will be drivers of all experience levels and everyone is willing to share what they know August 15- Hoover Resevoir-Westerville, OH This will be final event in our summer series. We are going to run here again due to being rained out the last time. There are 2 major sections for crawling (one on the noth side and one on the south side of the dam.) We will be meeting and running the first course on the north side. We may or may not move to the other area depending on the thoughts of the group. If it is calling for poor weather on this date we will hold the comp at Emerald Parkway since it has a covered area. If that should be the case the final say so will be posted the night prior to the event. As stated, this is the final comp in the series. Awards and prize money will be handed out following the comp. I am also trying to have something small for those of you who made it to 5 or more of the dates as a thank you. With any luck we can pull that off. COLOR] Directions: [/SIZE]The followig maps should do the job: The cost to compete will be $5. Driver's meeting will be at 9:50 AM and the 2.2 comp will begin at 10. We will be using the progressive point system. Beyond that we will be using standard USRCCA rules: http://usrcca.com/rules2008.pdf Tentative Schedule: March 28- Cenci Lake Park, Lancaster April 25- Emerald Parkway May 16- Emerald Parkway June 6- Griggs Resevoir- Upper Arlington June 27- Oakes Quarry Park July 18- Hoover Resevoir- Westerville August 15- Hoover Resevoir- Westerville(This is the new date due to the BFG2 on the 8th) Below are a few pics of each venue.
