Default Update

It has been a few months since this thread was updated, so here goes.

Over the summer, COC held a comp at the Outville Power Show and had a good turnout and great exposure. We purchased several very nice giveaways to draw attendance, and ended up with a considerable loss on the event.

We have wrapped up the Spring/Summer Point series with terrific results. The top 3 got awards and the top 5 got money, and all who attended 5 or more comps got food and a shirt!! The Fall/Winter Series will begin Oct. 2, so be sure to be there!!

This past meeting, we discussed the upcoming event Holiday Havoc II. It will happen on December 3, 2011. We are hoping to pass our attendance from last year, and include some new fun and excitement. There will be a teaser thread started for this event this month, so attendees can begin to plan for it.

The club will be holding 2 to 3 work parties before the event to re-arrange the rocks at the Boulder House and make all new lines for this event. Be sure to check the Tuesday and Saturday threads for when these will be. Any and all help that can be given will be GREATLY appreciated.

I think this is all for now, be sure to check back throughout the month, and hope to see everyone soon.

I will add in the past we usualy did the rock moving on the normal crawl nights but we try to get there a bit early so we can still play as well.

I'm ready to restack! lol There's that one spot that is like the pit of hell at the bottom of the stack that needs to be eliminated!

Just keep us posted, I'm about to hit the slow work season, so I should have more free time.

Default Work Party

Per the club meeting last night, the work party dates to move/rearrange the rocks will be the following:

Saturday November 12th
Saturday November 26th
Tuesday November 22nd
Tuesday November 29th

The two Tuesdays may be forgoing crawling depending on how much work gets done beforehand.

As much manpower as possible would be greatly appreciated. We would be thankful to anyone who has these dates available and can come help.

Thanks in advance, and we are looking forward to this event.

Sat. Nov 12 is the first work day in prep. for the Dec. event. I plan to be at The Boulder House by noon to start working on the rocks. Please post up if you can join in. I can only stay until roughly 4:30 due to prior plans. Tom will be out so I dont think there will be Sat night crawling but feel free to bring a rig to test and tune the rocks with.

We have alot to do so please come if you can.

I have just submitted our request for club recognition. It says they try to get to the requests within 2 weeks. Keep your fingers crossed

That's awesome Bob. That also means N.O.S.T.R. & C.O.C. would have too have a run off for the 2 Nationals spots.

A Roller rink in Youngstown . In short shorts. Mr Roboto on a continuous loop. All driving at the same time on the same AM channel with antenna flags. All with the AC turned up to 11!
At least thats what I was envisioning.

Default End of the year club party

Alright guys, we have decided that we are going to have a pizza party after the January 15th points comp at the BoulderHouse. All current club members are invited even if you are not comping that day. We will supply the food and soda, if you want anything stronger, that's on you. Make sure you make it out.

Default Club T-shirt design

At our last club meeting, we discussed the design for the club t-shirts. I mentioned to those in attendance last night to get creative and bring a design to the table. You have 2 weeks before the January club meeting where we will vote on the final design for these. Please contribute if you have a creative edge and bring something to the meeting.

The only stipulation is to keep in mind these will be single solid color, which means there can be no shading, or fades, etc.

Thanks for the ideas in advance.

After the discussion on Tuesday, I've started trying to find some new crawl spots. I think I might have found one today, Olentangy Park @ 600 Wilsonbridge Rd. There is a trail maybe 80ft that takes you right under the 315 to 270 ramp, similar rocks as Emerald Pkwy., but smaller area. There is also a foot/bike path bridge with some rip rap under it, it is a further walk but easier access to the rocks (not as much vegitation around them).

Great idea. New year equals new spots.

Tried to take one but the sun was in a bad spot and forced a lot of shadow.
