Northwest area anyone around the northwest area i.e.(toledo, perrysburg, bowling green) |
Re: Northwest area I'm not that far north, I'm down near Lima/Wapak area. |
Re: Northwest area yeah your not far from my area. maybe a little over an hour away |
Re: Northwest area i am in van wert area if you guys know of anyplace around here to play. |
Re: Northwest area I dunno, the van wert area is pretty flat, lol. Not much better around me though. We've got the river and aqueducts to run around. I haven't had a chance to scout any spots yet, hopefully in the spring. |
Re: Northwest area yea you are right lol i have been there before pretty sweet if you go by the lake just dont fall in you might grow a extra finger or something! :p but i might have to drive there and meet if more than one is gonna show up! |
Re: Northwest area There is a group of 5 or so that are local to me. Not sure how often they meet, the 1 guy I've talked to a few times on here isn't on very often. So mostly it's just me with my scx10 and my neighbor and his wraith, mini summit, and 4x4 slash. |
Re: Northwest area if you guys dont mind a little drive im in the tiffin/fostoria area and we have spots all over the place....i normally go to the park in tiffin they have tons of trails a really steep hill that makes for some fun competition and there are cool little water crossing spots. normally my neighbor and i got out there to run... |
Re: Northwest area rc2008, we might be able to to something like that once it gets nice out. What are you running? |
Re: Northwest area i would have to know ahead of time i dont normaly get the weekends off so if it was a weekday thing i could show up, also what esc do you guys recamend? i am in need of one for my venom creeper, the one i have now doesn't have reverse. :( |
Re: Northwest area Novak Rooster Crawler is a good start for a brushed, they can be had pretty cheap. Then there's the AWESOME HH TorqueMaster BR-XL, it'll run 6S and is programmable with a CastleLink. |
Re: Northwest area hmm i am a little behind on the times this stuff, the last thing i had was about 7 years ago! and i just looked that up i am thinking cheap under 100 or so i am on a really tight budget. i am looking for used if possable |
Re: Northwest area A used Rooster Crawler is around the $30-45 mark, new about $90. BR-XL is probably $80ish used and $100 new or $110 new (waterproofed). Those are just for brushed motors. If you decide to go brushless there are others, myself, I'm still brushed so can't really help you other than you need to look at a sensored BL if you plan on having/needing good low speed control. If you got a spare $20 and PayPal, you can always buy a supporter star so you can view the classifieds on here. |
Re: Northwest area no pay pal :( but i was thinking about posting a wanted ad but i see now i cant huh |
Re: Northwest area I think you have to wait the 30 days and have 30 "meaningful" posts before you'll be able to view them. Unless you decide to start a PayPal account. Probably 99% of the members deal with PayPal on here, wouldn't be a horrible idea to open an account if you can. |
Re: Northwest area you know i was wondering why it said i didnt have any posts! man this forum is a lot differnt than the car forum i am a admin on, |
Re: Northwest area Yeah, posts count in the general and rig based sections to the best of my knowledge. |

Re: Northwest area Awesome, I'm running a SCX10 and my friend would probably be running his Wraith. I do have another set of axial axles, they just need a few bearings and ring/pinion gears. Then all I need is a transmission and I can rebuild me a shafty comp crawler to run. Who knows with tax time approaching, I might just build a rig up, buy a new rig, and then have 3 to run. LOL |
