I built a "log" bridge about 4 foot long tonight, and I threw about a 3 foot piece of wire closet shelving in my truck, so 2 gaps can be crossed.

See ya in the AM.

Great time yesterday!!! We couldn't have asked for better weather and cooler rocks!!! Glad to see everyone again and great that you could make it out with is Jason. BTW, I think I have a couple of your tools that were left on the table, a pair or needle nose pliers and a small hex wrench. PM or email me.

Great crawling, tough courses, and great people....that's what this is all about! Can't wait for the next chance to play at MLK!!

Go right ahead, don't let us stop you.

Personally, that was probably my last time going there. Great rocks, but after my day there, I'm seriously about done with crawling altogether. Not sure I want to crawl at all, anywhere. I wasted a day, $80 (plus whatever it takes to fix the damn thing), and am about through even attempting to fix it. Don't take this the wrong way, I had a good time, but I don't think the effort to do so was worth it for me.

Now please dont take this the wrong way but for all the time and money spent on a rig that you and I know never has ever won with that kind of set up you could have built a nice Xr or BERG. You really wasted money and time on that rig. Please dont take this the wrong way but I would have went a different way and built a rig that everyone is using and not a rig that a club member wanted you to build . Driving styles are different you know

The money I have in it is the electronics. I don't have money for a Berg, Bully, XR, etc. I was given a pair of axels and a chassis, so I built what I could. I'm not out to win like you, I'm out to have fun. I don't have the extra cash to buy all the B.S. custom parts, hell I don't have the cash for basic parts. Maybe I can save up and afford a different pair of axels by the end of the year, but just axels, not all the custom stuff. It is annoying hearing "you should do this, or you should do that" over and over when this and that cost hundreds of dollars I don't have. I wish I could, sorry.

Finally in a better mood regarding the crawler, so I decided to pull it out and do some work. I literally drenched both motors with contact cleaner and let them set in the sun. Worked a little better, so I soaked them again and let them sit. Hopefully I can get it back in business, and limp it along until I can afford some better axels. Not completely certain what the root of the motor malfunction is (brushes, com, electronics, etc) but it worked fine after that initial soaking with no load.
