Exclamation Scale Comp Feeler. Southeast Ohio

This no longer a feeler...It's going to happen!

First Annual SCORCHer
Scale Crawling Ohio R/C Harescramble
Saturday May 2nd
$10 Entry Fee with 100% payback (if we get 30 entries: 1st $150, 2nd $100, 3rd $50)
Driver registration at 9:00 A.M.
Competition starts at 10.
1966 Hanna Rd. Marietta Ohio

I'M LOOKING FOR 10 PEOPLE FOR THIS EVENT..
House rules will be in place. First and foremost, FUN will be had! This will be a Class 2 vehicle(As per SORRCA rules) competition. You may run a lesser vehicle if you wish but no class 3 vehicles will be competing. This event will be mostly comprised of G6 rules.
Points?
We don't need no stinking points.
You may have as many scale accessories/recovery items as you wish.
Gates will be worth +2 minutes total. (+1 minute for each side touched.) If both sides of the gate are touched, the gate is dead and you will not recieve any more penalties for that gate.
There will be bonus sections worth -3 minutes, with no winching allowed in these sections. If you must winch, the bonus section is dead, and you can complete it as normal. You may touch a gate in bonus, but you will lose 1 minute for each one touched.
Example: John completed the bonus section without winching, but hit 2 gates. He is only given 1 minute subtracted from his time.(-3 for completion, +2 for hitting 2 gate markers.)
No Hand of God
No Foot of God
No penalties for winching in non-bonus sections.
No penalties for receiving help from another competitor's rig.
If you must be recovered by an official you will be assessed a 3 minute penalty and placed at the last cleared gate.

Your time and/or gate completion will ultimately decide your finishing position.

This will be a 3 stage course with a nasty rock climb dubbed "hell climb" that will give you the opportunity to subtract 5 minutes from your overall time.

There is no restroom facility but there is a gas station less than 3 minutes away.

BE PREPARED TO WINCH!

Being close to the border. You might want to post up in the adjoining states too. Sounds like fun.

Thanks Josh. Right now, I'm looking for 20 people or less due to the limited parking and no restroom facility...well I guess there is a 40 acre restroom but no indoor area haha. I do have a pole building and power for charging batts, getting in the shade. If I get any more than that, there will definitely not be enough parking. I have room for maybe 15 vehicles on the property.
First come, first served.
Post up on here and let me know how many will be in your group.
If you have a 15 passenger van, and you and 14 of your buddies come in it...great. The more the merrier. I just dont want anyone blocking the road if we have an emergency situation.
P.S...Bring your own TP

I may have to resort to that Johnny. I was kinda hoping Todd G. or Mike R. would chime in and round up the posse.

Depends on when the event would be. With the rc4wd series and KOG coming up, that would determine whether I could attend. Oh, it's Mike R. ;)

It would be awesome if you could. Hopefully everything works out and myself, Lance and Steven can make it happen. I missed out on tickets for KOG but I will definitely be there having a good time. If you guys need help with course setup or judging, just shoot me a message. I would be glad to help.

Would a Redcat RS10 work to crawl with? I am new to the crawling and wanted to get something cheap to start with. I will be hopefully building a crawler course at my house, if I can find some people that can give me input on building it.

Its hard to get the "is that Krawlable" feeling of that last ravine. That was something awesome!

We are just a week away and the courses are shaping up nicely. Your class 2 rig will be tested! Going to be putting up gates and putting the final touches on everything all week long. Don't miss out on the ridiculousness!
