Anyone crawled Kelly's Island and Put'n Bay??

I'll be headed up there this week and I know there's tons of awesome rock around the islands; planning on renting a golf cart and doing some exploring with my brother and his Wraith. I was curious how the ferries are with the RC trucks. Anyway thought I'd drop this thread. We will be out at the lighthouse in Marblehead alot Monday and Tuesday if anyone is around. Weather looks good.

I've crawled at the light house without issue. Never tried going over to the islands with a crawler. Please share. I'd like to know about the ferries and rc. Also any nice spots you find?

Rented a golf cart at Kelley's and loaded up the Crawlers. It was fun but I came to find out after hours of scouting that the vast majority of cool lake front rock beaches and outcrops that would be amazing spots are all posted very very obviously" NO TRESPASSING or PRIVATE KEEP OFF. " I don't blame the landowners at all for that as its their property and I respected that and stayed off. I did find a few off the beaten path water front jaunts that were awesome but in the end when I go back I won't be taking my crawler.


Had a run in with a pushy Yuppie insisting he see what's in my backpack; said it looks heavy and I better show him(he had a shitty tone kind of implying I must have something illegal or dangerous in my pack) when I told him it was an RC car he got even shittier saying yeh right. Long story short I showed him so he wouldn't do something dumb and start crap(think he was drunk) and he thought it was the coolest thing ever. People are so weird.
