Default NOSTR National Indoor Scale Crawl-Off March 15!

This is our final indoor crawl of the season, and we're gonna go out in style with a national indoor Scale Crawl-Off

Our indoor course is located at Freddies Hobbies, 100-199 Romito St, Ravenna.

http://www.mapquest.com/directions/m...266&panelbtn=2

We're still putting it together right now, but are shooting for a 2-day event. Depends on whether we have enough interest to warrant cancelling an oval-track carpet race there. We've got Saturday the 15th for sure.

This will be a scale-only event, 1.9s and 2.2s, no comp classes since there's just too many of you comp guys, but if you have a comp rig bring it out, we'll have trail runs and fun runs.

Concours event with popular voting for best rig.

Hobby shop that actually stocks crawling parts

Plenty of challenging lines, just because it's indoors don't think it's gonna be easy. Bring your A-game.

Like I said, it's still in the planning stage right now, since we tend to do everything at the last fawkin minute. But if you wanna come, post up so we know

The main NOSTR board: http://z7.invisionfree.com/Nostr/index.php?act=idx

See you there!

Keep the details coming!!

all t's on most scalers are hard to pull off they are huge. so unless you are building 1/5 scale I dont think they will be very scale hence the name of the class "scale". also if you are building 1/5 scale I dont think there is room on the course and all t's are not that great of a tire either. I like the way they looks just not a great performer or very scale. but post up some pics like nick said. either way you can run if that is all you got were not gonna turn somebody away cause of tires in the scale class. so far most people I have seen try to run all t's only do it once unless there stubborn, they just dont work in a comp even on a scaler.\

On another note sunday is a go if we have enough pre-entry's. i am working on a entry form with nick right now. if you are gonna be there for sure post up there will be a discount for pre-entry. and we will have trophy's for the first 3 spot's in 1.9 and 2.2. We will have fee's and directions and hotel info on the pre-entry form.

I have not seen the soft ones but I would say more then likely they would be ok inside. most stuff does do ok on the course. softer tires seem to work better.

Will scale rules be posted? As in what qualifies/ or disqualifies a rig for the comp. Ex: someone builds a 1.9 tuber. etc.

We run Scale4x4's rules in the scale classes:

http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9792

We're pretty loose about what can run. The only no-go would be dig or 4ws, you'd have to lock those out. No comp-style chassis, tube or ladder frame only, full body (except tubers) and make it look right.
