Default entry level crawling in Oklahoma

Hello all,
I live in Shawnee and just got into crawling with the purchase of a Losi Night Crawler. I spend a good amount of time Crawling at lake #2 of the Twin Lakes. All my Rc buddies do scale crawling but I would like to test the waters of comp crawling.... at the new guy level. I guess a sportsman class? Since my rig is all stock. Are there any events going on in Oklahoma this year that fit what I am looking for? Thanks

You're in the right section. The OKRCRC club posts up competition dates and locations in the Oklahoma section. Looks like they are having one in Disney, OK Feb. 12.

I know there are some guys up around the Enid, OK area, as well as the OKC area.

I ran with the OKRCRC club a few years ago. Just got to be too much traveling for me, living in SW Arkansas.

I have several Samurai customers in Shawnee and many of them have RC crawlers. You may know Butch, Pede or Turk, all have crawlers and took them with to Disney a couple of weeks ago along with thier 1:1 rigs. If ya need a ride to Disney let me know and I'll take my truck instead of the Miata.

OKRCRC 1st 2012 Comp

We will be at Disney, Hogan's camp grounds Feb 11, at 9:00. We are going to do sportsman class and I will assure you will have a great time. We are gonna run our scalers after that so we have a chance to talk and have fun. We are very easy going so no need to get stressed about rules. We will walk ya though the courses and will answer any questions. Its about having fun so come on out and bring your friends.

I'm planning on it Chris. I went by today and told Andrew's mom that we comp Feb. 11th and she said she'll let him know. I don't know what I'll have together but it'll be fun anyway. To the new guy above, ya couldn't ask for two better guys than Chad and Charlie to setup courses and help ya out. Bring the Losi and we can let ya know what mods you'll need to run Sportsman. Or you'll have plenty of fun running trails after comps.

Thanks everybody. I am guessing that I should check this other crawler website for exact location at Disney? I have never been anywhere near that place. From what i do know is that it is near the Grand Lake Dam.
