Potential new crawl spot just south of OKC. Well, while not paying attention to the road on the way home yesterday. I noticed some pretty nice arrangements of rocks off southbound I-44 at the south Canadian river. These aren't the typical Oklahoma bridge style rocks...these are REAL rocks. I am probably going to go see if I can find an easy way to get down there without being parked on the side of the interstate. I think there is a gravel road that runs down there. If not easy to access, may ask for permission to access. Will post some pics and report what I find! |

Re: Potential new crawl spot just south of OKC. Well, I couldn't drive down the road to it like I thought I could. It is south of SW 149th on Meridian (at the river bridge). I ended up pulling off the interstate on the shoulder like I see alot of people parked who go down there. Here is what it looked like: http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...h/eb424edd.jpg There are LOTS of huge rocks down there, but I found out that with all huge rocks comes huge holes to dig your rig out of. lol I'll be going back as it is the best place I have found in the metro, other than Draper. I just wish there was a way for me to get down there without leaving my truck sitting behind the interstate bridge guardrail. Couple pics of my wraith from today: http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...h/26022b5d.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...h/e602cd3f.jpg |
That looks cool man I'll have to try and find that. Thats over by where I live. |
