Semper Fi. It is always nice to talk to a fellow Marine. I take it that you are or was a Marine. About the tires, I dont know what I will do. Is there a better way to go about it. So I dont have to use adapters. My hex size right now is 12mm. Is there a wheel that would fit and allow me to use the moab's. What part of the city you in. I am only 45 min. south. |

Hey,you know, once a Marine, allways a marine, did 8 yrs about 15yrs ago.we need to get together and do some crawling, you can check out my clod, its posted on http://www.jpcustomrcs.com/, I have a torsion,2 crawlmasters and two mamba maxs with a 6 channel spec. radio the wheels will have to have some sort of adapter, they are 14 mm or like yours 23mm.The problem is they will rub your lower links if you don't narrow them or have enough widener to get them away from the links.I run these now: http://www.globalhobby.com/public/xt...ery/145521.asp And love them but they need adapters too. If you haven't bought the tires yet,I would use the one's you got with the truck to pratice with and watch for someone selling some.I have some wheels and adapters you can use if I can get them back. |

Cool. I was a Sgt in Marine Artillery. So. I have the factory tires, and I have 12mm hex's. I also have 1 inch wideners on them. What are my options now. Does the shop in the city off of 240 have any good wheel and tire choices? |

If your talking about Action RC,they are a race track add have bowties, crime fighters and step pins but theyr'e not a good crawler tire. I have them too,I race truggy's there, modified 1/8 scale buggy's,you have to have a 3in wheel or a 2.2in wheel to get moads to mount.2.2 is 12mm and 3in are 14mm.The best tire and wheel combo are 40 series,14mm wheel, moads and adapter.I have a set I loaned out to another crawler,I will get them back so you can try them.the wheel has to be narrowed to clear your links but that makes the tire bulge out and side bites better. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXLPW5&P=SM http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXFNF8&P=SM http://www.tcscrawlers.com/product.p...&cat=25&page=1 or http://www.tcscrawlers.com/product.p...&cat=25&page=1 |
