Portland area crawlers

Hey guys..I don't post much and I don't do Facebook...I don't see the orcrc but I gather their on facebook... what I'm wondering is how alive is the crawling scene in the portland metro area..?is there still a club or comps. Being held.. I've been crawling for 25+ years..my first rides were made from modified buggy trans hooked together for trans and transfer cases rolling on widened toyota axles..crazy thing is as much as i love it and devote alot of time to it ive never been to a comp...I'm wondering if its still going strong cause I'm up in the woods alittle and ive got a 6'-8' wide 1/4 mile plus trail running threw my woods. Plenty of room to walk, plenty of room build whatever for comps. or just some good Ole week end wheelin. I'd be interested in getting ahold of the local group who put on comps around the portland area...anyone here know who and how to get ahold of this group without facebook...thanks, I hope it's alive and strong. I've been thinking about this for years and above and beyond a track I'm 3 minutes from miles of PowerLine and logging rd. Aswell...thanks guys

I'm just getting back into scaling and just picked up a wraith spawn and have been trying to find places to go and drive with others. I'm in St Helens but more then willing to meet up on weekends and so some scailing a comp sounds fun as well.

ORCRC still holds monthly comps.

Tim Samuels is who you want to get a hold of. His username is War Pig. Pretty much everything is on facebook now.

The OR vs WA comp is coming up on August 6th @ Lucia Falls. I operate down around Salem but there are still a lot of guys in Portland.

Just moved to Oregon....Eugene

Was hoping to find some crawlers locally....would drive some if necessary .....Washington is a bit of drive...but I'd do that for the right event. I look forward to hearing from anybody....

I am NOT a Facebook fan

Sorry to say that facebook is where most of the crawler stuff seems to be happening for Or. The Salem group will usually split it and do stuff down in Eugene also so the southern guys dont always have to drive up.

Hey Clod....thanks for responding

I'd drive to Salem to crawl with people....I did try to join the Orcrc...the Eugene local group seems to be buy and sell...not much crawling going on.

I'll travel to crawl, no problem....just hate doing it alone

Thanks again "thumbsup"

WA vs OR would be worth driving to. Going to be a pretty big event!

Facebook sucks, but it's the place to be for info on upcoming events.

Yes, unfortunately you're right....I'll pay attention there....I want to be active and crawl....I'd go to the O vs W comp if I could get my act together in time
Gave away all my batteries when I moved...have some on order...maybe I'll get it together.

I should have a spare wraith up and running by then that could be borrowed for C3.

I also can bring some spare batteries if needed.

Hey Postclanker, I'm just up hwy 58 from Eugene. I'm kind of a lone wolf up here, I use to travel to comp with the Portland guys, but it was just to far to travel for me. We have a nice place to crawl up here on the river at the rest area. "thumbsup"

I got my batts yesterday, and darn if they didn't come with deans plugs already
Nice...."thumbsup"

I should be prepared and ready for battle soon....thanks for the offer VMG "thumbsup" I really appreciate that

Looks like Codyboy isn't too far away, I bet we can pool it, I don't mind driving for a good crawl GTG. I have a C2 and C3 and a couple of 2.2 pros in build mode...nice to see some action in this thread

There are a ton of Oregon guys crawling, both scale and comp. A large majority are on the ORCRC facebook group.

I almost considered switching to those yellow plugs that come on the batteries because I was so sick of having to solder on dean plugs.

You're welcome!

WA vs OR should be a blast! I'm pretty excited for it. If you finish one of your 2.2 Pro trucks you should bring that too!

"thumbsup" NW has a pretty active crawling scene still.

Anyone still running supers down in OR, or is it mostly 2.2s and 2.2P?
