Default Old school military truck

I'm still working on my Clod body but I'll post some pics from the process.

first step

2nd step, I got my mother in law involved in the project

3rd step, custom mix green outside painting with cooper inside painting.

I'll keep posting

Looking killer, the custom green is a nice tweak from the traditional.

because I'm new to all this, what material did you use for the soft top canopy? Is it actaul canvas? What did the mother in law do on it?

the soft top is made from an old sheet piece that was used to clean windows, my mother in law had cut to size and did the sewing job, I've colored it with lightened paint.

The project is near to be finished, in fact the body is allready painted and I have only to add the soft canopy and maybe windshield wippers and side mirrors.

The dirt effect diffinitly gets it. Kazi you got your body looking really awesome so far. Mother-in-law did a great job also on the soft top.

De dirt look was done airbrushing at full pressure about 3 feet from the body, it's really simple and the only thing you have to make is to approach the airbrush to the body in the areas you whant more dirt, I did in the front part and sides, do not approach the airbrush more than one feet and a half, be also ready to airbrush the surrounding area so I'll recommend to cover your workbench with something.

Or you could use a rattle can with a really gunked up tip, looks as real as the real thing, some spots are thick some are thin, its not all uniform. Looks really good none the less. Some thoughts for you all to hear. I would post pictures of my old rig with the paint job, but I dropped my laptop and scratched the hard drive.

My first thought was maybe the canopy was some kind of bag...:-D

Sorry, I couldn't help myself

I was going to assemble the canopy yesterday and found a problem, after adding the watered paint the canopy has shortened 1/2" , I'll see if adding some ironing I can enlarge it a little, as I can't assemble it at the actual lenght. :?
