What Compressor

Im just getting into air brushing, and I bought myself an iwatta eclipse HPCS from a friend fairly cheap. My question is, what portable compressors are you guys using to paint your bodies. I have a big compressor in my shop, but I want to paint these in a semi-enclosed area to cut down on trash. Any Ideas?

I just use a Husky 2 gallon compessor with added filters. 100 bucks at Home Depot. Never had any problems except for the noise.

I wonder if I can use the CO2 Tank from my jeep with a decent regulator to paint with. Anyone tried this?

Yup CO2 has been done and it works well. I have a twin cylinder unit with a 1 gallon air tank it is adjustable to 80 LBS of preasure and is quiet. I got it on line at Airbrush City. The higher air preasures work well with the FasKolor type water based paints which are pretty thick and don't like to much thinning.

since I already have my CO2 tank, it's looking like I'll be using it rather than buying a new smaller compressor. Now I just have to figure out how to regulate the pressure enough.

Bought a small compressor from Harbor frieght a couple weeks ago for $70 with a cheap air brush. I used it with my Passce VLS and it worked pretty well. Super quiet, automatic shut off at 70psi and on at 50psi. Airbrush that came with it wasn't to bad I supose but you can tell it's just a cheap Iwata knock off. My only gripe about the setup was that my airbrush likes higher pressure than it can maintain, it stays about 25psi when painting. It looks exactly like all the major brands units and is rated the same as the one that you get from Iwata in there new Eclipse/compressor package.

I had a 2 gallon compressor that died recently.
