| Making a suggestion to Proline?
I got to thinking the other day. I'd buy the hell out of a 70's or 80's Dodge full size pickup body. Would anyone else buy one and how would we suggest it to someone? Proline for example.

well to be able to produce a shell of a real truck, proline would have to get permisson from dodge. maybe dodge said no. but if they havent tried yes they should, because i myself would buy one.

i would love to see an 80's model extended cab dually dodge truck. my favorite old square bodystyle with those ugly rear fender flares. i love em. but just gettin a full size dodge truck period would be nice.

BS they dont need permission to make a body like the real truck look at the scout body it is close we all no what it is supposed to be but they didnt have to spend the money for the rights. pegasus hobbies makes a bunch of lexan shells with no copyright they just dont use the real name and change a little bit. and yes I would want one a 78 ramcharger would be awesome. |

I would. Was considering even trying to scratch build one. The 1978 Dodge Macho Powerwagon. Also found in military trim as the M880 I don't think you need permission if its older than a certain number of years. |

I'd really take any Dodge truck from 70-93. I'd rather it be a standard cab long bed than a dually though. I could handle some Slant 6 "Tower of Power" decals if it was a late 70's though |

If the manufacturer finds out there is trouble,Tamiya has an agreement with Toyota, find a Proline 'cruiser body these days. They stopped producing them for that reason, licensing agreements.I agree if you make a body and alter a few things and call it something else you can get away with it.If your gonna make a body, make something popular, not a boxy old DodgeJust messin |

I had an 86 and I loved that truck. I'd rather have a 73-78 if someone did make one. I'd be happy with it "not being a Dodge" since people on here make decals.

The only reason I'd like an early 90's is so I could build a first gen cummins to pull my trailer... If HPI did it I bet it would be badass. I just hate the thought of someone like Parma making one...

Although the Burban would be cool, I want some more love for an old Dodge. The only thing we have is a discontinued powerwagon and the newer 04-07 HEMI's.. Hell there's about "20" of em sold in just this thread alone! Last edited by Brainstain; 03-19-2008 at 12:20 PM. |

I've always thought it was odd that there wasn't an older Dodge body offered by anyone. I drive a 92' one ton, four wheel drive, now and would love to make a scaler of it. If it was true to scale, it couldn't have any flex to it though.
