Default 1985/86 Toyota Bodies 4runner or truck?

I have a pipe dream of making one of these for a scale project. This is my personal favorite of all the Toyota truck body styles. (think that started when I saw the black one in Back to the Future as a kid) I think I if I made one I could make the top so it could be a 4runner or a truck relatively easily. The poll is kind of to see which style people tend to be more excited about.

With the help of a friendly neighborhood machinist and an awesome artist I know through work contacts I am hoping to get a 3d file made and then a buck that can be experimented on with fiberglass or some other substance to make a body from.

Please note this is not a product feeler thread as I feel its a pipe dream if I get to make one of these for myself someday, if somehow it came to pass that I could A) make these and B) produce them in quantity I would happily buy a vendor star and actually post up something on it.

I like 84/85 4runners only because they were the two years of the straight axle for those

but I like trucks or the 4runners

and I think it would be pretty cool if you ever made some of the bodys

I am partial to them from growing up in Oregon as well. It's funny down here in Los Angeles I see more lifted over the top probably never driven off road F-250's with 6+ " of lift and huge tires, while in Oregon I grew up with maybe mildly lifted Toyota's and stuff that were covered in mud and trail rash from being driven to hell and back.

Even if it was a lexan body if you made the truck as one piece with a bed molded in you could then have another piece for the canopy to make it a 4runner. But I think since I am talking about making it by hand it would most likely not be lexan anyway since I don't want to try to build a vacuum former. Besides a lot of people take the tops off their 4 runners anyway so you'd almost have to make it removable if possible.

I have one of the kyosho big brutes, the truck is probably around 20 years old. It would be nice if someone would reproduce this body.

The main difference between the 3 cab styles is what goes on behind the window. If its another little window its the Xtra Cab (which was not very big then lol) if its the 4runner its the wide black trim. if its the hilux its a more narrow trim.
