Default Painting outside of lexan?

I want my next body to be flat desert tan or flat olive drab. Any tips on doing this for lexan? Its for my ax10 and I wanna do something different. Also wondering who makes flat paints for lexan?

I usually just paint the outside with a regular PS paint and the use the Tamiya TS matte clear to knock the shine of it!

well after some research I think I might paint the inside and 800 grit wet sand the outside for the flat finish.

I would not use sand paper--how about a brillo pad or something of that sorts? One thing you have to worry about lexan is when it scratch's it turns whiteish...

if you do paint the outside, spray the inside with a bit of silverish paint so it looks like the metal being exposed when you scrape the paint off when you roll over or try to drive through a rock

Not only paint the inside silver.. When painting the outside use a black or rusty color lexan paint firts then after that dries use a regular spray bomb in the flat color you want.. I like using the Krylon paint as it pretty durable.. But make sure you do your first couple coats in lexan paint otherwise the krylon doesnt bond that well on lexan!

use some steel wool and wipe it down with some mineral spirits, then use some adhesion promotor, then spray your color, i did this on my last truck with auto paint from atuozone looks great.

Paint the outside. Also paint the inside whatever color you want to show through... Rust worked for me

that scratch/rust looks awesome! It'll definitely be a part of the next body I do.
