Default Proline 1972 C10 Chevy - Vintage Green

This rig was built up for my son. So I let him pick the color and body. Loved his body choice ( I actually owned one in HS - 402 big block, 3 in the tree!) but what does he choose for a color - GREEN.

The kid wanted Kermit Green to boot. I was like, man...can't we do something else? I was finally able to convince him to go green but a little more "vintage".

I was going for this -

Got kinda close, a little more "metallic" than I hoped...but it's not bad.

Wow that looks really really good. Don't know what it is but it just strikes out at me.

Thank you for the kind words guys!

I haven't painted a body in a while and it's the first time I busted out the liquid mask. I realized it's not easy cutting a straight line with that stuff!

Actually what I was most proud of was how I was able to mount it with velcro and not use any body posts. I've read about guys doing this with Scale Rigs and never thought it would work well, but man the velcro holds great!

Thanks again,

Mike

sure! Check out my build thread.

Stage 3 Racing GOAT Chassis Buildup **56K WARNING**

The goat chassis has two delrin blocks for chassis support/spacers. I added an extra block in the front for the height difference and then just put velcro down on those blocks.
