What do yall think, look like rust to ya. I going to paint it silver then what ever color on the out side ,so when I scratch it will look like bare metal then rust. 1st I painted it a transparent orange. A coat of racing red. Then back with black. I like it what do yall thing. |

1st coat transparent orange 2nd coat racing red last coat black I think it looks good. I'm real happy with it. Now if I can paint the rest with out screwing it up. Painting not one of my strong points. |

Nice combo to get rust It looks very nice. To make it ultra-realistic, do silver, then a primer color, then your main color. Of course, every coat of paint added increases the risk of peeling/chipping/messing up, but the look is so cool that it's ultimately worth it. My wife wasn't happy with the $40 of rattle cans I picked up at the LHS to do mine, so it ended up basic black. I'm going to need to fire up the air brush and sneak in one bottle of paint at a time for my next body. Thanks for the inspiration. |

maybe hit a few spots with scratches, and go over them with a deep red candy and then coat that with a brown or something to give it that deep rust chunky look...I want to do something similar, but more "Beat Up" if you will...lookin good though man!!

| You build a beat up one. I'm going to beat mine up on the rocks and what it looks like it looks like naturally. And thanks |
