Prolines new Spider Body

1 Attachment(s)
Here is the new Spider body from Proline.

I would like to see it slammed on a lower chassis myself.

What do you think?

Was just getting ready to post this. It looks good.

Here are some more pics.

For those fabricating-minded that just don’t have the time to carve up your own concoction, or if your simply looking for that tuber look, we have the body for you. Introducing the Spider, an innovative, simple way to make your crawler look like a tuber.

Derived from 1:1 tubers everywhere, the Spider brings all the cool features your crawler is looking for. Simulated riveted panels, tube frame setting, front shock towers complete with shock detail, simulated high-flow air filter assembly, rear located fuel cell, master cylinder, wench, and headlight detail the Spider has it all. Made from genuine .040 GE Lexan. Thick enough to remove the window area and still have enough strength to support with the remaining tube supports.

When you’re looking to conquer crawlin’ in realistic style, then check out Pro-Line’s Spider body.

As stated above the body could be lower on the chassis. But the idea is excellent and tuber detail is slick.

Don't really care for it in the production shots.

I'm sure once it's mounted lower, trimmed a bit , and paited differently it will look much better.

ROLANDROCKSHOP 10-02-2008 03:12 PM

i agree, mounted lower,and trimmed.but i do like it.
its cool and dorky looking if thats possible?

Robbob 10-02-2008 03:13 PM

yeah im with Dez on this one ..... doesnt attract me in these shots but on a real rig it could draw my attention.

the detail to it does look good though, a nice scale rig might benefit more.

jpcherokeekid 10-02-2008 03:17 PM

That thing is fugly.

dezfan 10-02-2008 03:19 PM

The roof it to tall and that's what makes it look goofy.

Rockpiledriver 10-02-2008 03:32 PM

Sweet an F-toy body. I love it. "thumbsup"

TK-twister 10-02-2008 03:32 PM

The roof looks too big and flat. Need to round the roof to help in rollover.

...thanks!

I grabbed what I wanted to be lower, and I pasted it where I wanted it. This can be done with Adobe Photoshop, or any other professional image editing software. I used Ulead's Photoimpact.

JUSTGOINGSLOW 10-02-2008 04:07 PM

They need to lower the roof line just a little, other then that it will work.

Hope you don't mind me using your chop(if you do let me know). Lowered the roof a little and changed up the color a little. Much better looking with a lower roof if you ask me...

drumbeater 10-02-2008 04:26 PM

Dez it looks doable now

JUSTGOINGSLOW 10-02-2008 04:28 PM
