| My new lid
well I needed a new lid and lhs didn't have any axial xc-1 and I didn't want to wait for shipping so I settled on the rockstar because I think it is a cool looking body. I don't have a airbrush or anything so it's not the coolest ever and I wanted it to at least match my ARTR orange parts a little. still got some cleanup and needs some stickers but thought i would share |

So have you ditched the EDGE chassis already? What are you running now?

thanks for the comments guys. I appreciate them good or bad. I know the colors aren't for everyone but it looks better in person tha the pics I just got a mfm black widow chassis from mfm racing and so far it's awesome. I really liked the performance and mostly the looks of the edge but it is a little top heavy. I didn't run it on droop so matbe droop being a bit lower it would handle better. my crawler was working great on the chassis ecept sidehilling it wanted to tip over a bit much for my driving. I got it for sale now if anyone is interested. I really love the tuber look and was thinking of using it for another build but the last thing i need is another rc. and I just bought a slash lol |

Nice work. I like that color combo. Post another pic after it's mounted.

its testors lacquer 1831m fiery orange I got it at crafts store hobby lobby. they got an awesome selection of model paints. The blue is just some blue metalliic I had laying around. both colors backed with light coat of silver to bring out the metalics I did pull a dumb move though. I marked off where my body post holes are going to be and then after paint dried I was excited and peeled clear film off body to admire my work and whoops their went my marks on where to cut post holes. So we will see how fun it will be to mount now. lol |

alright it's mounted as low as chassis and body permit and I had to trim some for wheel clearance. I was planning on putting a few stickers on it but now that I got it mounted I just think it would ruin it.well I had to put just 1 on the back to represent the widow. I think it came out pretty good . it's dark so no pics of it on the rocks but you get the picture. Last edited by discgolferlee; 11-05-2008 at 10:14 PM. |
