Default Can the Kyosho Rock Force body be made comp legal?

I couldn't seem to get an answer in the RF section. The stock RF body is 4" wide. Rules require a 5" wide body. Will adding 1/2" extensions to the sides make it comp legal?

ive been wondering if it falls under the bodieless rules or like a TVP style chassis - cause the body itself is not comp legal
