Question My Bedliner....

After wetsanding my paint job I decided to add some black into my paint scheme. I masked off and taped up the lines around the body and the inside of the bed. I then shot it with some flat black. After that.... I decided to go ahead and re-seal everything with clear again....3 more coats! This makes a total of 6 coats of clear. I've wet sanded it a few times in between though.

I didn't really like the "shine" of the bedfloor after it had been cleared.

Well....I decided I wanted to do something a little bit different with my Toyota's bedfloor.

So....I got myself some Sand Finish Additive from my local Sherwin Williams store and I mixed some of it...with some generic black enamel paint that I buy (8 colors for $2 @ Hobby Lobby).

I then added some thinner to thin it all out and worked it in real well. I just used a medium sized brush to apply it to my truck's bed to give it that aftermarket bedliner look.

I'm also not all the way done with this yet. I'm going to tape off the tops of the bedsides after the clear has had another day or two to set up.

Then I can paint the inner bedsides with this same technique as well.

Tell me what u guys think..I realize that it's not 100% scale looking...but I really like how it turned out.

EDIT: BTW...the paint is still wet in these photos...it's drying down with a more satin appearance.
