| Dovetailing a hardbody - durability question
I'm working on a build where I want to dovetail the front end of a hard body. I think I've figured out how to do it, but I'm wondering about the durability side of things. If I do this, and I smack the body in a rollover, is it going to split along the seams I used for narrowing the front end? If this is the case, any suggestions for reinforcement?

If the inside of the area you are narrowing, is relatively flat... put a strip of styrene on it...

I think that heating it while bending it would make it bend easier so there would be less stress.

3m Automotive plastic repair and put a strip of plastic to help support it on the inside, and heating the body with hot water or a hair dryer while bending is an awesome idea |

you could line the inside of the body with fiberglass. if anything, it would make it stronger
