Default Using a Blazer CGR interior inside a 'full top' PLR Blazer body-Has anyone done this?

Just wondering if anyone has done this. It looks like it should be a pretty straight forward install. The Pro-Line CGR Blazer body is 1/2 " wider than their regular full top/hardtop Blazer body, but from the pics of the CGR body on here and on the Pro-Line web site it appears the interior is narrower than the CGR body itself in order to allow space for the roll cage. I'm sure some trimming of the interior to fit properly inside the hard top Blazer would be needed but thats fine. Just wondering if anyone has done this already? Does this work out pretty well?

Scale accessories or a spare tire/wheel could be then added inside in the 'bed' area which would be different and pretty cool. A little styrene work could be done to add more depth to the bed area, but that wouldn't necessarily be a must-do. Installing the interior into the body with Shoe Goo should work fine unless anyone has a better method of doing that they would like to share.

If they bodies are close to the same size why don't you just cut the top of off the regular body and use it for a top on the cgr body. That way you could have a removable top and wouldn't have to worry about gluing in the interior.

Default using a blazer gcr interior

I thought of that at first too but according to the Pro-Line website the CGR body is .7" wider than their 'regular' Blazer so the hardtop almost certainly would be too narrow. Also the CGR body is 1.1" longer and the wheelbase is 1.3"" longer, so the hardtop would probably be too short as well. Haven't seen the bodies side by side yet too be sure on this, but it doesn't really sound likely from Pro-Line's specs that the hardtop would properly fit on the CGR body.

Anyone tried this combo yet??

Make a hardtop out of styrene with clear lexan windows, and a opening rear hatch. Could even go the extra mile and make the side windows slide and put screen in them!!!!!!

Actually, I would rather build a scale styrene interior for the hardtop Blazer body than make a styrene hardtop for the CGR Blazer body. Thanks for the suggestion though. That would be cool too.

Back to my question here.....has anyone used the Blazer CGR interior in the Blazer hardtop? Does it fit well inside the body?
