Default Side Body Mounts vs. Top Body Mounts

I see many of the crawlers have side mounts for the bodies and I am curious if there is a reason why the side mounts would be better or worse than the top mounts for crawlers.

Top mounts will allow you to easily adjust the height of the body on the chassis without drilling new holes. Top mounts will also get hung up on obstacles much less than side mounts....

Thanks JeremyH, that is exactly what I was thinking but I saw lots of crawlers had the side mounts and being I was new, I thought maybe I was missing something.

Top mounts get hung up on rocks in a roll over, and some chassis dont have anywhere to put top mounts, and must use side mounts. There is always pro's and con's. What works for you?
