Default Looking for a paint color.

I'm want to paint my honcho 2-tone. But I can't find a burnt orange metalic. Any tips?

Would rather rattle can but if I have to break out the air brush I will. Never painted an RC body wih he air brush tho.

its easier with the airbrush, thats what i do. if you rattle it then you can use tamiya ps-43 translucent orange with either tamiya ps-48 silver metallic or you can go with the ps-43 backed with tamiya ps-23 gunmetal to get a little darker burnt orange with metallic look. airbrush i would use spazstix orange(part #15150) then backed with either tamiya silver or gunmetal, the more spazstix orange you spray the deeper the orange you will get.

How thick a coat do I apply of the translucent orange?

i would start light but to get an even layout do like 5 coates or till you are happy with how deep of an orange you get.

Awesome man. Thanks for the tips. Question. I'm wanting to paint the other part of the 2-tone ts-40 mettalic black. What would happen if I backed the orange with that as well.

if you just back the orange with the mtallic black then you wont see the orange much at all. if you have it backed with the silver or gonmetal then it will be fine. try a test peice with the silver and one with gunmetal and see which one you like before you paint, the silver will really pop in the light but the gunmetal is a deep orange that will look sweet.
