Default Liquid mask on outside of body

I've painted my Blazer body from the inside. Now I've realized it would look alot nicer if the trim was chrome (around windows, etc)

Can I liquid mask the outside, cut out the trim and spray some spaz stick chrome? Will it look ok, with the main paint being on the inside? Thanks!

The issue being it will easily be rubbed off. I painted a design on mine on the outside and it looked good till the first roll over.
