| Hardbody paint removal
OK i just painted up my Newbright TJ body and im not really diggin the color. I need to strip the paint off of it with out spending hours sanding it. One of my concerns is that i used styrene to stretch the body and if i use brake fluid to take the paint off, will it damage the styrene or weaken the glue used to stick the styrene to the body. Ive heard of people soaking the hardbodies in brake fluid for hours then just peeling the paint right off. Will this method work for me? PLease help!!! Thanks.

It won't hurt the styrene. As long as you used solvent for bonding the styrene not like ca or somthing that will be fine too.

What do you mean by solvent? I think i had to use a little CA for it to stick to the NB body. Nothing would actually "bond" to the body. Its some wierd type of bendy plastic.

Solvent like tenax or plastiweld. Those are what you should be using to "glue" on those bodies. I personally use plastiweld general purpose. It works for lots of plastics, and works well on the new bright stuff. As to ca and other glues, I am not sure if brake fluid would hurt them or not.
