Default Which JConcepts Ford Raptor SVT Body for SCX10?

Just wondering if any of you knew which would be the best fit for an Axial SCX10 Honcho. I am looking at the JConcepts Ford Raptor SVT body, and while they are actual not made to fit the Axial chassis, I think I can get one to work well enough for my purposes. Here are the three options:

Slash 2WD Body:
http://www.jconcepts.net/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=336

Stampede Body:
http://www.jconcepts.net/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=413

Revo 3.3 Body:
http://www.jconcepts.net/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=392

I of course may be able to figure it out myself, but JConcepts doesn’t list dimensions on their website, and I am awaiting an email to see if they can provide that info to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I figure that maybe someone has one of these bodies on hand and can check it out for me. Thanks!

I dont own the truck but was looking to build a scaler based of the F-350 body. The slash body would be way wide and the pede body wouldnt have enough wheel base. From what it looks like is the bodies from the revo 3.3 would have the closest base to the 12.3" that the honcho runs

I have the Ford Raptor for Revo 3.3 on a scale car. I've also e-mailed JConcepts for dimensions of the other 2 bodys, but no answer yet, except that the body for the Slash 2WD has the longest wheelbase.

The 3.3 revo-body measures:
Width at wheelarcs: 22 cm
Wheelbase: 29 cm.

The car is pictered at scale4x4

I have the raptor for revo 3.3 body and the wheelbase is 31.5cm.

Perfect for un-modified honcho wheelbase

So you guys are telling that this body fits good on an SCX10?

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXZWX2&P=7

The Specs tells me that maybe is too long or am I wrong?
Length: 508mm (20")
Width: 274.65mm (9.75") at widest point
Height: 140mm (5.5")

Do you have a picture of this body mounted on your SCX? I need to see that cause I was looking a Raptor body for my SCX for a loooong time!

The measures at Tower is wrong, see my previous post for measures taken from the body I have. Picture of my Raptorbody om homemade frame is at scale4x4.
I would like the exact measurements of the Raptorbody for the 2WD Slash (#0084) if sombebody who have this body could take the effort of measure the body.

the cab/bed will fit a standard SCX10 a honcho has a longer WB and as far as I know the Tundra cab fits well with the OEM axial bed

Is this the Jconcepts 0084 slash 2wd body? And is the chassis underneath the SCX10 or SCX10 Honcho? Also, if you already painted and mounted it, could you please post a pic?

Thanks!

It's for the slash, but didn't think there was a difference in dimensions for 2wd or 4wd. Chassis is the scx10 kit. I'm still waiting on getting a slash so its still unpainted. Thought I'd see if it would fit the scx.

Slash bodies are huge. You could probably fit two scx10's under a slash body side by side..

Actually the Jconcepts 0084 body is designed to be more scale looking than a regular shortcourse body. They just call it the "2wd" body, prior to getting licensed by Ford to call it Raptor, it was the Gladiator. From what I have now heard this body should fit the 12.3 Honcho wheelbase pretty well.

Default FORD RAPTOR SVT body on SCX10 Honcho - Jconcepts 0084

It's gonna work!

Well, after another RCC member (thanks Kujo) showed me his build on Scale4x4rc.org using the Jconcepts Raptor for the Revo body, he advised methat the Jconcepts Slash 2wd (aka #0084) would fit almost exactly on the Honcho.

So, I ordered up a body and he was right. It should turn out nicely. Here are some pics to show how it fits on the Honcho (WB = 12.3 inches). The #0084 wheelbase is around 12 inches, about 19.25 long, and about 8.5 wide at the fenders.

The body is just placed on the posts right now, I would like it to sit a tad lower to be more scale looking. Hope this helps anybody that was wondering what would fit.
