Why don't you just use one of those silverado bodys? The chance of them coming out with this is very slim.

They could do a sticker sheet with gmc and chevrolet grilles, emblems tailgate trim to satisfy both gmc and chevrolet trucks. I'd be down for a burb body ultimate scale rig. It would be a honcho wb rig.

It's a shame, but it's an uphill battle convincing a company to make a body that doesn't have the broader appeal of, say, a Chevy Blazer... It's got a lot to do with the perceived "bad-ass" or macho style of the vehicle. As enthusiasts we may be hardcore fans of the older Suburbans but the average Joe wants something more along the lines of another Jeep Wrangler, which accounts for the countless varieties of that body currently available. 'Course, if it's got a certain cult sportiness like a Suzuki Samurai, it may also eventually be released. But - being what it is, and the costs/legalities of getting it licensed for release... I just don't know if it'll happen from any mfg of Lexan bodies. I could see it being released as a crazy expensive 3D print someday, or perhaps if we're lucky - a pricey hard body. There are many other bodies I wish were made available to us... and yep, I'd pay at least a fair price for a Suburban - heck, while I'm fantasizing make mine one of these, specifically: I'd make one an offroader, and another an onroad... I was totally stoked for the K10 Vaterra Ascender, I got one and plan to buy a 2nd clear replacement body to paint up more personalized, but as a caged-back cab it's the most aggressive of any option out of Suburban, Blazer, or full pickup truck to I'm sure that's what made it more of a viable option. At least we do also have the Vaterra street C10 body, much more accurate than the Stampede or Revo body from Proline... in that it does include a separate chrome grille. |
