Default CAMO....inside or outside? advice and tips help

right to the point, i have never painted a body before and could use some tips and advice. I always thought that you painted from the inside which makes sense so the paint lasts longer, but i've been reading that people paint on both sides. Usually it's for those that want a rust or weathered look as the paint on the outside scratches off over time.
Well, i want to do a camo paint job and i'm not sure how to go about it. I want the paint to last so i thought about doing it from the inside, but then i am not sure if by going from the inside how "ultra flat" the paint will look as the body has some shine to it??
I found some Krylon #1311 Matte Finish clear thinking i would paint the outside and use it as a layered clear coats to help protect it ? and the on the inside use a primer so when the paint scratches it gets a primered look. Hell, i dont even know if using Krylon "camo" cans are gonna adhere to lexan??
Also, if i paint from the outside should i use a primer first and am i suppose to rough up the body ?

i believe tamiya makes a coating you put on the inside that "flats" any color you spray after it... Seen a few guys using it on here, just search and you'll find it im sure.

Personally I think the camo needs to be a flat finish to have the right feel to it painting outside with a metal or primer inside seems to be the best effect to me.

paint the camo on the inside then when it gets scratched you still have our paint, then use the tamiya stuff on the outside to give the flat look http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXWXZ3&P=7

From what I've heard you need lexan paint for it or it just won't work unless you've got a hard body. I painted my rtr green honcho with camo on the outside. I didn't find camo airbrush colors so had to mix the green several times and it still wasn't the color I wanted but just went with it. BUT now that I did it if I were to find another green rtr body I would paint the tan on and green over because it seems to really dull the green to more of a olive color. And now after a bunch of use with the green lexan it's really hard to notice the scratches.

Now that I think about it, I think my buddy said he used krylon on his but not 100% sure

2 options I've seen for painting a camo job or a flat look.

1: Paint the inside.
Sand the outside with fine sandpaper or steel wool.

2: Sand the outside before paint.
Paint the outside with your camo colors.
Paint the inside either gray or a rusty red color.

The second option will let the paint flake, but leaves a bare metal or rusted look.
