Default 1979 Ford Superduty (HPI)

We call them "Bottom feeders" up north but they make a cool heavy truck.

I definitely want that body. I had a 79 F-100 with the 351 in it and a long bed. I loved that truck!

Thanks.. I couldn't get a image to work and I really like the side profile. All the lines look real sharp.

Im a Ford buff but not a huge fan of the extended cab in those years. Ide prolly still buy it tho and make somethin of it! Cant wait to see it in person and see how it looks.

I just looked on towers site and they have two listings for the body, one super cab and one standard. Hopefully that just isn't a mistake as I would much prefer the standard. Will be curious what the WB ends up being.

Default hpi 79 ford

Hey guys, if you go on facebook &look up hpi ,they show both ext. cab &the reg. cab version painted blue with old style bigfoot decals that someone has done up. so yeah, they do make it in both versions. I too cant wait till their out. ive always been a fan of those trucks, &have had my share of them.

Actually Ford is suppose to bring back the F100 to replace the Ranger.
It will be bigger than the Ranger but not as big as a full size half ton pickup, like GM did with the Colorado and Canyon to replace the S-10.
Motor options are suppose to be the eco-tech 6cyl. or a 4cyl. diesel.

saw this on the internet too. but it was put on hold because of the new eco-boost in the f150.

Chad, I had a 79 Ford F150 regular cab with a 351 Cleveland motor and that was a great truck. Why do you call them bottom feeders it was one of my all time favs fast to. Bottom feeder in my mind was my next truck a 84 Chevy that thing was a piece of shit worst pick up I ever owned.

They are the heaviest trucks at the mud holes is all. Most run tractor tires and military axles when they get that big.
