| Skins Design Tool
Just entering the world of bodiless and using skins. I want to make my own, but struggle with finding a descent tool or program to use. I do not have a Mac, so I an somewhat limited. Any suggestions shy of paying my cousin in law to design me something? Wes |

cheapest solution is,,,scan a photo copy of your side plates into your computer then use ms paint to play around with colors/schemes

I tried paint and the crappy pictures I have were too grainy. I ended up building it in A Word document, snapping a screen shot with Snagit and pasting into Publisher. I was thinking maybe an online application. Wes |

The problem is I have a custom made topper and side panels. I will check and see if how much it would cost to get one made. This is what I have so far for my roof panel. I also hope some of my favorite vendors don't mind I used their logos. Wes |

Honestly, I use CS5 (that's Adobe Photoshop for the uninformed), I can recreate the skins at will, but I still paid Krawler Koncepts for my skins, because I don't have a plotter or the high grade vinyl, and I like to support those that support us.

| You should be able to get body panel templates form the bodiless chassis vendor that you run. Open that template in what ever program you can use on your PC and design away. That is what I do. Then I sent the design to Krawler Konceptz and they sent me my design on vinyl. Dont be scared to design your own. There are a lot of good ideas out there. You are NOT limited because you are using a Windows machine.

Actually the vendors I wanted to buy my topper from were all out of stock, or didn't sell just the topper. So I bought some 1/8" Delrin and made my own. It is a blend of a BJ4 and Rock Hawk. So, unfortunately my bodiless vendor (me ) didn't have an electronic template. I think I can figure something out. Maybe just need to make the stickers extra large and plan on cutting myself. Wed |
