Default Hard Shell Body Mods

I got my Timberwolf last week and I am in the process of mating my "New Bright" jeep hard-shell body to it. It is pretty close to scale, but it needs some modifications to make it fit and look right. I cut the body in half to make it ~1.25" wider to line up to the roll cage.

I was scrounging around the house to find material to use to "bridge" the two halfs together, and found a top to a large plastic tub. I am trying to glue the pieces of the tub to the hard shell body and can't get it to hold very well. I've used 5-min plastic epoxy, locktite super glue, krazy glue, etc...

what kind of adhesive do you use to do this, or am I just using the wrong material?? Also, what type of body filler would you use that won't crack or fall out?

Is there a posting on this forum of a "how-to" when it comes to body retrofits?

Thank You!!

What's probably happening is that the 2 pieces are so dissimilar that they won't bond. Certain types of plastics have a high oil content so to speak and most glues won't bond to them. I should say that it is difficult to find a glue that is formulated to get a good bond to them. This I know from practical experience, I-CAR classes, and 3M product presentations. As the gentleman before me said, styrene is probably your best bet.
