| Just Maybe.... I have a Dodge Megacab body on my crawler and I'm bored and I think the wheelbase is a bit short for a pick up... soo here's where you come in, I was debating on cutting the bed off and making a longer and wider flat bed for it, what do ya'll think? I've never seen it done yet... Here she is now... I've done this to a Chevy body before and It turned out awesome and crawled great... If I do switch it over to flat bed... I'd use sheet metal instead of wood because wood doesnt match the style of truck in my opinion.... What do ya'll think? is it a go or no go? I'm also considering switching over to a frame like the scx10 and running scx10 shocks, I dont know about that yet though. |

I kinda like the chevy with the porch on the back. I'm not so sure the crew cab will look as good.

I would just make a longer bed, don't think the flat bed would look good

So I decided to go through with the project... it's a work in progress now, but here is what I have so far... Gonna order scx10 shocks since I was originally running an ax10, and I'm making a new frame for a more scale look & easier cab/bed mounting & to make up for how long this build is. I also have to extend the rear driveshaft. Here is what I've got so far. Gonna eventually put up a build tread, but here's a sneak peek... Gonna make a utility like bed kinda like this (paint sucks for drawing up ideas) and it'll be made of sheet metal and the rollbar will be steel tubing or solid rod, havent decided yet. |

Thanks guys, I just got done making the rear driveshaft today... took like 10 minutes. Next to be made is the frame, buy the shocks, & then make the bed... once the bed is made I have a feeling I'll be adding alot to it I'm thinking this is turning out good so far.
