Well holy crap. I tried to search it myself just now. I am good at finding stuff and I can't easily find builds with pics and explanations. I think this is one time that use the search function does not apply.

I make lots of hilux bolt on kits...check my link in signature and vendors section for more hilux kits. I am sure you can get some good ideas from my pics. Hope that helps.

see I've always seen this and know how to use the sliders as a holding point but the random question that always popped in my head was mounting it???? the body curves on the outside so how does the screws hold on? do they just stick out on the bottom side or is there a trick that I'm not seeing? the reason I'm asking is because this was the route I'm going but just wasnt sure if its how it works

| yes I searched, ya I'm talking about your bracket, I've seen others like yours and wondering how the screws fit. Could you show a close up pic of the bracket with the body on? Because the way it looks, if the screw is being put in from the outside, the screw would stick out a bit because the body is curved

I'll take some tonight, but the holes are countersunk a bit on the body, so the screw head sits recessed a bit from the body line.

| Hehe, thank you CrawlinClodKiller: Not easy at all to find good pics of it. But thanks to all the good answers and pics being posted here I think I have a clue on how Im going to do it. And when Im done with it Im gonna take pics of it and make a own thread here hopefully I get the body by end of next week since the easter make the whole world stop for a few days...They should know that we cant wait for RC parts!! |

I also have a hilux body coming and was wondering how to go about mounting it. Good thing this thread exists ha ha. Good info.
