Victory Junction....RockCandy raffle body Randy and Mindy asked me to paint a body for the RockCandy raffle and I was happy to be able to help. Mindy wanted me to use the Victory Junction logo if possible so I went to the computer to make a mask that would work for my design. They donated a brand new XR10 Hardline body so I started by trimming it along the factory cut lines and then washing it with dish soap. Then I cut a few masks and applied them to the inside of the body followed by 4 coats of liquid mask brushed on. I then drew out my design on the outside of the body using a fine tip sharpie marker. http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...aintjob052.jpg Next I used faslucent green (transparent) to do some streaking with my airbrush. http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...aintjob006.jpg Next step was to lay down the flourecent green followed by white for backing. http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...aintjob002.jpg After erasing the marker lines I used some thinned down black to do some drop shadows on the clouds and the checkers. Then backed that with white........I also painted the Victory Junction font. http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...aintjob012.jpg Next step was to use faslucent blue to outline and drop shadow everything followed by some faskyblue. http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...ntjob022-1.jpg http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...aintjob018.jpg The final steps were to peal all the remaining masking and to put a full coat of black on the inside. I then used the faskoat to seal the body. Here it is the Victory Junction Raffle Body! http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...aintjob032.jpg http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...aintjob040.jpg http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...aintjob023.jpg Check here for more info on the Raffle: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/general-crawlers/309098-rockcandy-rcc-fundraiser-benefiting-victory-junction-gang.html |
