Default Narrowing a body..

I searched, advanced searched and then waded through 10 pages of this section.. I want to narrow a body about 2" and I wanna get as much info as possible before I hack a brand new body in two. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Cali: Lexan. I'm trying to use a pickup body on my FOFF truck since everyone uses a Jeep or EB. This is my last option to get that low slammed look without basically hacking off the front of the truck to clear the steer tires or having the body way to high.

HighLucks: Thanks. I somehow didn't find that. I have a good idea of how to do it, but I'm just looking for pointers or "the easy way to do this is... instead of ... "

There are many different ways to do it, but just play with it and have fun. Keep some ShoeGoo around and try to make your cuts as clean as you can. Plan ahead so that things like grills and tailgates look as good as they can. I would cut the winshield and rear window out, cut body in half then glue it back together. Then you can cut the windshield to fit the new hole and glue it in. Use a small amount of filler to cover the cut line and then paint the outside. I LOVE to modify lexan bodies, its nice to take an old beat up body and make it look like somethin new again!

BENDER narrowed the Rubi body he's running on his FOFF rig. Some good info and pics in his build thread, right on the first page.
