Looks like that face is a combination of free hand and masking. Not a lot of painters can handle an air brush free hand like that. Using an air brush on the inside of a body is also painting in reverse compared to painting on a canvas. The tip of your brush had to be about 1/8 of an inch away from the plastic to get that detail! Very impressive!
