looking for a polycarb paint for a lexan body

hey guy's im looking for a polycarb paint to match toyota's blue streek metalic that they use on there trd tundra thank's zach.

There are several colors you can use to get really close.

Pactra candy blue backed with indy silver
Tamiya frost blue (transparent blue) backed with bright silver (it has a finer flake)
Or tamiya metallic blue. This blue is probably closer to Subaru's rally blue but close to the tundra blue. I'd say check out tamiya paints since they have a wider variety of colors for polycarbonate (PS-??). Tamiya has a few metallic and pearl blues. I don't have access to my paints at the moment but on Monday I could tell you an exact match. I have tamiyas full line of paints that I use to paint bodies.

okay will do ill have to talk to my hobby guy at my lhs and see what he has in and i can wait till you could get me an exact match and ill justo rder it off the internet thank you dude im doing a slash body up with it is why im asking. thank's.

Okay, so here are your two best options.

For a the closest match lay down several light coats of Tamiya PS-39 (translucent light blue) until it's a good even covering (you'll still be able to see through it when done). You'll need to make sure you do it in several light coats since the translucent paints tend to get runs easier. TAKE YOUR TIME! Then back it with PS-41 (bright silver). Tamiya's bright silver has a finer metallic flake so it will probably look more scale. If that's not much of an issue you can use Pactra Indy Silver if you want. Just don't use Tamiya's frost or translucent silvers. Those are semi-transparent and will make your paint job sorta see through. HAHA

Or for a single stage color just go with Tamiya PS-16 (metallic blue). It's a bit darker than the blue you're going for, but it will be fairly close.

thank you for the help it's going on a slash 4x4 body and wanted to do my slahs like i did my tundra highlift and i knew i couldn's use the same paint and i didn't see anything at my lhs that was clsoe thank you for the help man zach.

i've had good luck using real urethane based car paints on lexan bodies. this way u can get the real thing not a close match.

I recently found out a local craft store has Createx paints back in their airbrush department. Any experienced painters know if that stuff's flexible enough and sticks well to lexan bodies? My only experience in airbrush paints is Fascolor, and am wondering how those two compare to one another.
