Default dam pactra paint

i hate pactra paint. mainly the purple crush one. i spent almost 3 hours masking and prepping a parma midnight pumpkin body all excited about doing a deep purple to dark green color shift like the cap shows with 50's style flames. the actual color is lavander and mint green. i used the black backing that pactra said to use and everything.

Ive never had ANY problems with pactra's paint. Color or how it sprays. You using a spray can or a airbrush? If by spray can, possible someone switched a cap on ya? (the Green) I say the green because that would lighten up the purple if it was a light green.

Can't be right. This was painted with Pactra purple crush......

Maybe you got galactic purple by mistake? How many coats did you use of the pearlescents and backing black? I only used 3 light coats purple crush and 4 light coats of backing black.

i did 2 light coats and 2 heavy coats of the purple crush. then 2 coats of the rc304 backing. any other time i have used color shift paint the more coats the more shift you get not a lighter color. the lable and the tag both say purple crush. had to break the seal plus the cap is the color of your honcho.

I hear ya when paint does what it wants! I have had a hell of a time getting black to stick. When I peal the mask back the black peals with it. Over all it looks nice. I wouldn't be to pissed.

I dunno how it could be too light if you followed directions. I'll take your word for it. Maybe there was a mislabeling at the plant? Might contact Pactra about it. Make sure you have the lot info to reference.

It's actually my Wifes honcho.

Here's mine. 4 light coats of Pactra atomic rust and 4 light coats of inca gold.
