Default Building A truggy - rear shock mounts?

I will be getting an unfinished truggy chassis shortly and one of the remaining items to finish are the shock mounts. For the front I already have that figured out as I will be using some scx10 aluminum shock mounts that I have laying around from a past project.
For the rear the way the frame is built it will not really allow shock hoops to be used (and also I would prefer to not use hoops). I was wondering if most guys are just making their own mounts from scratch? buying something from a hardware store or is their a vendor that is producing something that is weld/braze on?
I would like something that would allow for multiple shock mounting solutions as I have a serious problem with leaving things alone (there is always room for improvement)

because of my architect OCD this is how i like to do it.

i use the chassis to hold a tube for the shock mounts. this insures there perfectly acurate side to side and up and down.
then when im finished brasing/welding i cut off the rear chassis that acted as a jig.
