|  How to remove chrome from plastic wheels?
What would be the safest method of removing chrome plating from from plastic wheels that have tires glued on without hurting the tires? I read about DOT4 brake fluid but didn't know if it would be safe on tires?

1:1 cars have rubber lines, so I don't see tires been an issue for ya.

Bake your tires first then get them off so you don't damage the foams when taking off the chrome. YouTube the baking process it's pretty easy. After you get the tires/foams off you can use Easy Off (Oven Cleaner) or DOT4 brake fluid and soak them for about 10 min then get an old tooth brush and the chrome comes off very easy. You can also use Acetone (nail polish remover). I use Acetone to clean up excess CA on any rubber tire. Acetone doesn't hurt the rubber but will take chrome off.

Acetone will get the tires off the rims, then easy off and elbow grease will remove the chrome. at least thats how i got it off of my revo chrome wheels and bumpers.
