Which of these?

Turns out the local hobby lobby does have some model paint, despite them telling me they didn't. Anyway, are any of these ok to use with lexan? They were locked in a glass cabinet so I couldn't really read on them. Sorry for the crappy cell pics. They did have Testors enamel too.

None of those will stay on lexan. Those are all for plastic models.

Well that sucks.

I"d recommend just order some paints. That is the best thing to do since they are trusted on lexan ans you will have no problems with the paint staying on the lexan.

I'd absolutely love to but no one makes the colors I want. Atleast not that I've been able to find. I can't find maroon from tamiya or pactra.

Well, some people say you can use metallic red or burgundy and back it with black to have it come out maroon. This is actually something I have a picture of cause my SCX has those colors:

I have used the Pactra metallic red before, and I think you might get better results taking that and backing it with black.

Maybe it's my monitor but all those pics look either pink or purple. I already get crap for my 1:1 color. I found a duplicolor auto paint I'm gonna try. Just gotta find the adhesion promoter.

By the way, we finally busted out the ladder ball at the new house. Thanks again for that.

I just painted a lexan body using quality spray paints from Lowes, looks great. Just go to lowes and buy some Valspar paint. They have tons of colors and they stick to lexan just fine. I don't use adhesion promoters either nor have I ever needed them.

Hey its my old scx! :D

That paintjob is a pinkish/purple color. Depends how many coats of the burgundy and black backing you do! I need to paint more that color I love it.

Holy crap

Don't ask how I found this, but I saw this picture in Google image search when looking for metallic burgundy results for my next body and thought "Wow that picture is old! It has NiMh bat-wait, that looks familiar!"

Then I realized it was my picture from like 12 years ago

Yes, I realize I'm bumping a 5 year old thread, and for that I'm sorry
