Question Bodiless panel ideas

So I am changing my setup on my XR10 to a mantis chassis.

Wondering if anyone has used cf for the panels. Ideas? Good or bad.

It would be expensive and a lot of hand cutting. My guess is the weight savings would be negligible. But If ya got the money, time and inclination it would look fantastic. If you do it be sure to post a thread.

Yeah I was looking at the pricing for this. So cf is hard to cut or just hard to work with period?

I think what I'm gonna do is just paint lexan and see how it turned out. If it looks like $hit, I will just get the real deal.

Thick Overhead projector material, print an image on the backside for scratch resistance and gloss. Easy for custom skins.

I just scanned my chassis to get the shape into photoshop, found a very large background in google images (3264x244 and went to town.

Might not be as durable as a alum can, but very custom and cheap (mine cost me the can of flat white paint to dust behind the image as the printer does not print white). And not that I have the template changes or new panels take 5min.
